Meet the Board
Rosthern Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary partnership of businesses and professionals, working together to build a healthy economy and improve the quality of life in a community.
Josie LaChance
MY-T Bobcatting and Concrete Services Ltd. & Creative Solutions for Small Businesses
President
Marketing and Tourism Committee Chair

Growing up in Rosthern, Josie has always admired how supportive this community is. This is what made her and her husband decide to purchase a home in Rosthern and eventually, start a business. She co-owns MY-T Bobcatting Services alongside her husband, Matt Hinz. As a business owner, both her and her husband enjoy contributing and giving back to the community in which they grew up in.
Josie was the Director of Operations at the Station Arts Centre Co-operative for five years until leaving on maternity leave and resigning in 2022. Josie provides marketing and social media
services for small businesses and has previously volunteered on the board for multiple organizations in the community. She has co-formed a Parent and Tot Group in Rosthern as well as the Wildflower Collective; a women’s business-inspired collective.
In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, socializing with others and being creative! Josie joined the Rosthern and District Chamber of commerce because she is passionate about growing relationships in our business community and working together to help Rosthern continue to thrive. Have ideas or are interested in getting involved with the chamber? You’ll often see her out and about walking with dog Jasper or her son Porter… feel free to stop her and chat!
Guylaine Green
GGC - Guylaine Green Consulting
Secretary/Treasurer
Bylaws Committee Chair

Guylaine Green moved to Rosthern in November of 2019 after her 3-year contract with the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games. She joined her husband Owen, who is the Public Works Manager for the Town of Rosthern. She is currently self-employed, doing contract work for non-profits.
Guylaine was a hairstylist for nearly 25 years. She owned salons in both Saskatchewan and Alberta. After retiring her scissors, she started working in the field of sports, culture and recreation.
As a salon owner, she belonged to a chamber of commerce in
Alberta and one in Saskatchewan. She believes that belonging to a local chamber of commerce is the best way to truly belong to the business community. As a single-employee business, it was great to be part of a team; of something bigger than yourself. She was eager to get one started in Rosthern.
She is fluent in both official languages, so watch out…..she tends to talk with her hands!
Guylaine and Owen live on an acreage just outside of Rosthern and have 3 adult children.....and a 160lb English Mastiff named Hooch.
Kate Kading
Author
Vice President
Communications Committee Chair

Kate Kading has been interested in business since she was old enough to sell Girl Guide Cookies door to door. She is formally trained in Radio & Television Broadcasting and in her former life spent time on the air in Saskatchewan and Manitoba as a News Director, Reporter, and Talk Show Host. Never staying in one place for very long, Kate had Rosthern chosen for her in early 2001 when her husband took his first post with the RCMP. Transferring to a few different communities over the years, the Kadings chose to return to Rosthern for good in 2013.
In early 2014, Kate started writing for the Saskatchewan Valley
News until their very last edition printed in January 2017. She spent 4 years on Rosthern Town Council and over a year working in the municipal office with a particular interest in SAMA, zoning, downtown revitalization, and economic development.
Now Kate uses her writing and researching talents to pen Saskatchewan crime books inspired by cases that originated in and around Rosthern. When she's not doing an interview, recording a podcast, or writing books, she is an avid volunteer and community champion, lending her skills to countless events and fundraising initiatives as well as serving as the Subdivision 2 Trustee and Vice Chair for the Prairie Spirit School Board. Kate maintains her political and media connections and loves sharing these pieces with her fellow local business owners, making advertising, public speaking, growth, and building relationships feel a little more attainable to a small business.
Growing lovely tomatoes in the summer and creating handmade journals in the winter, Kate lives in a house full of boys, has a deep appreciation for locally roasted coffee, and has a corgi that rarely leaves her side.
