What is a Chamber of Commerce?
A Chamber of Commerce is an association, primarily of people in business,
to promote the commercial interests of an area.
Why is a Chamber of Commerce important to a Community?
A Chamber of Commerce is made up of business and community leaders who
have a keen interest and financial stake in seeing a community prosper. In
Saskatchewan's current economy the challenge is not simply growth; but
moving toward strategic growth and working to sustain it.
What does a Chamber do?
What are the fees?
The core function is to bring business people together to allow networking and to discuss issues of current or future importance to the community. Some Chambers coordinate events, produce award programs, and hold luncheons with guest speakers. Most are active in advocating to some level of government. The simple act of bringing business people together can be the most important task a Chamber can do.
The annual fee for membership is $120.00.
